Our History

What started as a small motor repair shop in the basement of John White Sr.’s home in 1952 has since grown into a leading electric motor service provider in the southern coalfields and beyond. Over the years, we have expanded our operations to accommodate a larger workforce, advanced equipment, and cutting-edge testing capabilities.

• 1952: White Armature Works, Inc. was founded by John White Sr. as a local electric motor repair shop.
• 1970s-1980s: Expansion into mining and industrial motor services, establishing a reputation for reliability and expertise.
• 1991: Relocated to a 16,000-square-foot facility on State Route 10 in Mallory, WV, significantly increasing capacity.
